About VoIP System

We are an independent Australian phone systems company. We design, install and support business phone systems, and we have been doing it for a long time.
Who we are
VoIP System is led by Leigh Schmid, who has spent over 20 years in telecommunications. The business works with clients across Australia, from single site offices to organisations linking several locations onto one phone system.
We have worked with over 400 clients around the country. Most of them came to us because something was not working and stayed because it kept not being a problem afterwards.
What we are not, and why we say so
We are not a Yealink partner, reseller or authorised agent. The same goes for Grandstream, Yeastar, 3CX and FreePBX. No manufacturer has certified, accredited or appointed us, and we will not imply otherwise.
We say this plainly because a lot of people find us while looking for the manufacturer. If you rang expecting Yealink, you have not reached Yealink, and it is better that you know that in the first ten seconds than the tenth minute.
What we are is independent, and that is the useful part. We are not defending one brand's product line. If a cheaper handset does the job we will say so, and if the honest answer is that you should keep the system you already have, that is the answer you get.
What we actually do
- Design and install business phone systems, hosted or on your premises.
- Support the equipment we install, and equipment we did not. Our guides are free and ungated, and so is the phone.
- Connect phone systems to CRMs, so calls log themselves against the right customer.
- Link remote offices onto one platform, which is the work we do most often and the thing that saves people the most money.
- Move businesses off ageing systems without losing the numbers they advertise.
We work across Yealink, Grandstream, Yeastar, 3CX and FreePBX. Those are the brands we support, not brands that endorse us.
How we work
We answer our own phone. There is no queue, no ticket number and no hold music. When your phones are down your business is down, and the response to that is a person, not a process.
We tell you when you do not need to buy anything. A gateway that keeps your existing system alive costs a fraction of replacing it, and a good proportion of our conversations end there. It is a worse sale and a better outcome, and it is why people ring us again.
We quote the equipment and the work separately. You can see what the phones cost and what the labour costs rather than being handed a single number.
Most of what we do does not need anybody on site. Systems are configured remotely and handsets arrive pre configured. When a job does need a visit, we say so before you are invoiced for one.
What happens when you get in touch
There is no sales process to get through, and no discovery call before anybody will answer a question.
- You tell us what you have and what is wrong with it. Usually five or ten minutes on the phone. If you do not know what you have, we can work it out from the handsets.
- We tell you the options, including the one where you spend nothing. If your system has years left in it, that is what we will say.
- If you want a quote, you get one that separates the equipment from the work, so you can see what you are paying for and compare it with somebody else's.
- If you go ahead, we configure it before it arrives. Handsets turn up set up, which is what keeps installation days short.
- After that you have our number, and it is the same number whether you are buying something or your phones are down.
You are welcome to take our answers to another supplier. People do, and some of them come back.
Where we work
We are based in New South Wales and we work Australia wide. Remote configuration and support cover the whole country, and on site work is arranged where it is genuinely needed.
The businesses we work with run from single site offices to multi location operations, and across a fair range of industries, each of which answers the phone differently.
Talk to us
If your phones are broken, start with support. None of it is gated and you do not need to be a customer.
If you are weighing up a new system, tell us what you have now and what is not working. Call 1300 865 879, or send us the details and we will come back to you.
