Tell us what is happening and we will come back to you. If your phones are down right now, the fastest fixes are further down this page and they are free to use without contacting anyone.
If you were looking for Yealink, Grandstream, Yeastar or 3CX
You have most likely landed here searching for a manufacturer's support number. We are not any of those companies, and we are not their reseller or their agent.
What we are is an Australian business that installs and supports their equipment every day. If you have a handset that will not register, a system nobody has looked after since the person who built it left, or a phone that arrived in a box with no instructions, that is ordinary work for us and you are in the right place.
Start here, and none of it is gated:
If the answer is not there, send us the details and we will tell you what we think, whether or not it turns into work for us.
If your phones are down right now
Answer this first, because it decides everything else: do internal calls between desks still work?
- Desk to desk works, outside calls fail. The system is running. The problem is the internet connection or the line service.
- Nothing works at all. The system itself is unreachable. If it runs on a machine in your building, check it has power.
- Calls connect but there is no audio. Nearly always firewall or network routing rather than a broken phone.
Do not start changing settings during an outage. It is very easy to turn a one hour problem into a one day problem.
What to have ready when you contact us
Any of these speeds things up considerably. None of them is essential.
- The make and model of your handsets. It is printed on the underside.
- Who supplied the system, and roughly when. Even "about five years ago, and they have gone" is useful.
- What changed just before it stopped. A new modem, an office move, a power cut, somebody in the comms cupboard.
- A recent phone bill, if the question is about numbers, plans or moving to us. It tells us what services you actually hold, which is often not what people expect.
If you are not the person who looks after the phones
This is very common, and it is worth saying plainly: if you answer the phone rather than own the phone system, you may not be able to authorise a change even when you know exactly what is wrong.
Here is something you can forward to whoever does:
Our phone system is doing the following: [what is happening, when it started, whether internal calls still work]. VoIP System supports this equipment independently here in Australia and can look at it with us: voip-system.com.au
We are happy to talk to you either way. Nobody gets told to go and find their manager before we help.
Where we work
We are based in New South Wales and we look after businesses across Australia, including Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane and Perth.
Most of what we do does not need anyone on site. Phone systems are configured remotely, handsets arrive pre configured and ready to plug in, and a fault is usually diagnosed over the phone before anybody travels. Where an install genuinely needs hands on site, we say so upfront rather than after.
Common questions
- Are you Yealink, Grandstream, Yeastar or 3CX?
- No. We are an independent Australian company that installs, hosts and supports their equipment. We are not a reseller or an agent for any of them, and we will tell you honestly when something is a warranty matter for the manufacturer.
- Do I have to be a customer to get help?
- No. The guides on this site are free and open, and we answer questions from people who are not customers and may never be. That is deliberate.
- How quickly will you come back to me?
- As quickly as we can, and faster if your phones are down. Say so in your message and it goes to the top.
- Can you help with a system somebody else installed?
- Yes, and it is a lot of what we do. Taking over a system nobody currently owns is ordinary work. We will want a look at how it is built before changing anything.
- Do you charge to look at a problem?
- Not to talk about it. If it turns into work we will tell you what it costs before we start, not afterwards.
- Can you visit us?
- Sometimes, and often it is not needed. Most configuration and most diagnosis happens remotely. If your job genuinely needs somebody on site we will say so when we quote.
